Our story

The Bénévoles Ivoiriens du Canada (BIC) was born from the desire of a group of committed individuals to create a gathering space for the Ivorian community established in Canada. Facing the challenges of integration and the distance from home, BIC was founded to build strong bonds, preserve Ivorian culture and offer a solid support network to its members.

Since its creation, the organization has continued to grow, expanding its activities, its committees, and its reach within the Ivorian community in Montréal, Gatineau, and beyond.

What unites us.

Human

At the heart of everything we do, people. We welcome, listen and support each member of our community with respect and warmth.

Rigour

We carry out our commitments with seriousness and transparency. Every donation, every volunteer hour, every promise matters — and deserves to be kept.

Cooperation

Alone, we go fast; together, we go far. We believe in the power of the collective: volunteers, partners and community move forward hand in hand.
